Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQs)

Is Sanara a school? No. Sanara is a programme, not an academic institution. The training we offer is practical and market-facing, delivered through specialist partners. There are no degrees and no formal prerequisites — just skills you can use.

Why are there no stipends? Sanara does not pay stipends for training participation. What we offer instead is fully subsidised access to training and, for eligible businesses, financing through HEVA Fund. The model is built around investing in your work.

What counties do you operate in?Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Kakamega, and Turkana. If you are outside these counties, you are welcome to get in touch — we will let you know if and when that changes.

I am not sure which value chain I fall under? If your work is in clothing, accessories, or beauty services, you are in Fashion, Garments and Accessories. If it is in film, photography, podcasting, or digital content, you are in Film, TV and Content Creation. If it is in music, performance, or events, you are in Live Performance. If your work sits across more than one, apply for whichever fits best and tell us more in your message.
